Jeepers Creepers! Love or Loathe?

Sometimes the things which stand out most in the fashion world are the things which are different, and err, not to everyone's liking. Actually, that doesn't just go for the fashion world, it goes for everything from music to philosophy, but never mind about that for now! Right now, my favourite item, are my creepers. But not everyone might be so keen!!
My Creepers are my 'ugly shoes', yet I love them? Sorry guys but news flash: ugly shoes are in fashion right now, whether its creepers or doc martins or whatever. as long as it's not crocs. never crocs. There's a definite punk revival going on right now, where its not about what's pretty necessarily, but what makes a statement. At first, i thought, creepers are just gonna be those shoes I always think are a little bit cool but i'd never actually where them. But then I just bought some. oh yeah.

My very own creepers.

I got mine from Missguided.co.uk, which is one of my fave websites because they always have spot on fashion yet for really cheap. These shoes were around £23. What I like about them is the platform isn't very big at all, as you may be able to see in the photo. I think if your unsure about creepers it's best to get ones with less of a platform first. Plus they're actually really light!! I was expecting them to be quite clumpy but they're not at all. These are suede and match my obsession with leopard-print. However if you want more of the real deal, get some 'Underground' Creepers.

Underground Creepers from
 underground-cybershop.co.uk. £83.

I personally think creepers are great, they're edgy and funky, but some people think they're ugly. I'd love to know other people's opinions!!

ISWAI - Caggie Dunlop's fantastic new t-shirt collection.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of gorgeous Made In Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop. You may however not have heard of her new venture, her designer label, ISWAI (which stands for It Start's With An Idea) which launched last night, and was so popular that the website crashed, and some of the T-shirts have proved so popular they sold out within hours.
And is it any wonder? I was wondering what to expect with ISWAI, would it be all it's cracked up to be? I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. There are 5 T-Shirt designs, all of them unique in there own way. I personally love them all! If I had to pick a favourite it would be the 'rebellion t-shirt'. I love it's loose fit, around the shoulders and arms, balanced out with it's cropped waistline. This is the perfect tee for festivals, with some denim shorts and boots. It has a skull drawing on the front, which I love, as anyone who knows me will know I have a slight obsession for skull prints. The skull.isn't too intricate which i think continues to fit in to the theme of 'rebellion'.

The Rebellion Tee... J'Adore!

While the rebellion has proved a fave not just with me but the rest of the ISWAI fans, as it has sold out, the other T-Shirts in the range are just as cool. The Religion Tee is a simple yet effective T-Shirt design (pictured below) which fits in with the current trend to use crosses and to experiment with the cross. The tee really demonstrates that as the crosses are scattered and almost look as if they've been thrown on the t-shirt!! so cool.

Below I have also pictured the New York and The Da Vinci. The Da Vinci is a vest so it's great for the summer! I love the intricate design on the front. Clearly a lot of hard work has been put in to these T-Shirts. The New York screams city chic and simply with the windows and the ladders, as well as the pop of colour, encapsulates everything that is 'the city'. The design manages to make a t-shirt look both modern, chic, fun and sophisticated.

The Da Vinci... Love the vest
 shapeand intricate design!

The New York... such a cool
 design
and I
love the use of colour!

What I love about the t-shirts, is that the four tee's I've pictured have been designed by people trying to break in to the fashion and design industry! The youngest designer is 16, which is really impressive. This T-Shirt collection was an effort from a team of designers who all have a passion and that passion is clearly translated in to the t-shirts. The last design, 'Universe' is designed by Caggie herself, and as this is probably the most intricate design in the collection it is fitting. Universe comes in 2 colours, and it is beautiful. If I wasn't a skint student and they hadn't all sold out I think I'd buy both colours!

Caggie's own design, her 'universe' tee
in 'light' colour... also available in dark
which is still available at the moment, GET IN QUICK!

This is a beaut collection, and I'm defo going to snap up a t-shirt asap. I can't wait to see how much ISWAI has to offer in the future. This is defo an up and coming label with so much potential! WELL DONE CAGGIE!

Oh My Wow! Oh My Love

Some of the nicest clothes seem to be springing up from smaller, up and coming brands, and one such brand I have discovered recently is London based 'oh my love'. Their clothes are fun, girly, flirty and romantic with a fashionable edge. I discovered them in the basement of Topshop's flagship store as one of their concessions, and now I cant stop looking at their website (www.ohmylove.co.uk). I adore their use of pastel and fun prints, and how they've made a statement to some of their dresses with the use of the peplum skirt, or my new obsession, the dipped-hem skirt. I get a feeling in the products of a mix of old time 50's glamour with modern chic fashion.

Below i've put some of my fave pieces from the website!!!

This is a beaut dress which I plan on buying! Perfect for day or night, dressed up or down! And the colourful leopard-print is right up my street!

This dress screams elegance! THe bodycon dress is so sexy, while the sheer longer skirt adds sophistication. The perfect LBD.

This isn't my perfect style of dress personally, but admittedly it's still lush. The peplum skirt and overall shape of the dress is so ladylike and pretty!

I love everything about this cute shirt, from the feather print to the tied-waste which echoes of the sexy 50's style.

Everyone needs a bit of Vivienne Westwood.

So yesterday I went to London with Mum, we mostly stuck to the Topshop flagship store, I mean it is the mother ship after all! But I was also after a specific purchase. A pair of Vivienne Westwood Earrings. For so long I've wanted a pair of studs with the classic Vivienne Westwood logo... the orb and the satillite. I went in to the women's store on Conduit Street. Initially I wanted a sparkly, glitzy pair with crystals, but then I saw THE most gorge pair of mother of pearl earrings. I had to have them. They cost me £80 but I got some money for my birthday and they were worth every penny. I think every fashionista needs that key piece they're after, and every girl who has a sense of unique British fashion has a love for Dame Vivienne Westwood!!
my pretty bag, I didn't even want to open it!

Top: My gorge earrings.
Bottom Left: The beautifully wrapped box
Bottom right: me wearing the earrings... big enough to show them off donchya think?
