OOTD: The 'throw on' dress.

Hey everyone. First off, I would like to apologise for my absence as of late. The truth is over the last couple of weeks i've been so occupied with leaving halls/packing, etc, and I've also had a lot on my mind, which has stopped me from blogging. I've now moved out of halls, which was quite emotional, as I met my best friends in halls and saying goodbye was hard, but we saw out our freshers year in style with the summer ball, which was fantastic!
Anyway, now I am home for the summer, which is weird! I went shopping in Milton Keynes with my Mum yesterday and snapped up this cute dress from Topshop, which I am calling my 'throw on' dress. It's the perfect dress to just chuck on when you don't know what else to wear, plus because it's quite simple you can accessorise it any way you like for a completely different look. They are available in black, white or grey. i chose the grey because I already have too many black dresses and white isn't really 'me'. I love the skater dress shape as well. i think it flatters any figure perfectly. And at only 20 quid, this dress is a true bargain!!

Dress - Topshop, £20
Necklace - Urban Outfitters, £8

Jubilee Fashion.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've written a post! Very sorry, I don't even have exams as an excuse because I'm all finished. I've just been so occupied by all the goings on of the week. I've been sunbathing or in the pub garden most days, and just enjoying the summer and freedom really!
Anyway, as most of you should know, it's the jubilee weekend this weekend. For me, as a uni student, it's pretty much a bank holiday every weekend, but i'm pretty excited about this weekend. I'm quite a patriotic person, I'm proud to be British and love everything that is British... Brit music, Brit culture, and of course, Brit fashion. This special weekend has seen an explosion all over the high-street of clothes especially for this weekend, with union jacks, British bulldogs, and embellishments of red, white and blue everywhere. It's not just in the fashion world either. The beauty world is also embracing it. And I say, why not? I did a post 1 - 2 weeks ago about the designer crowns, but now I can indulge in some Brit fashion which I can actually afford, and wear!! Below I've put some of my fave items!!
